What is a False Teacher?

If you've been around church long enough, you've probably heard the accusation of "false teacher" leveled at someone. Usually, the one accusing is upset at another's difference of belief on an issue, causing them to label the other. But what is the Bible's definition of a false teacher? False teaching was a serious issue in the early church.
