Doubt and Belief
You never know how much you really believe anything until its truth or falsehood becomes a matter of life and death. It is easy to say you believe a rope to be strong as long as you are merely using it to cord a box. Bu: suppose you had to hang by that rope over a precipice. Wouldn't you then first discover how much you really trusted it?
-- C.S. Lewis
Whether you're a believer or a skeptic, at some point you’ve had to wrestle with the question of whether you'd bet your life on faith in Christ. For everyone, our doubts and our beliefs about salvation in Jesus hang on being a matter of life and death. Depending on what we believe and what ultimately is true, it is a matter of eternal significance.
So, what do we do? Whether we believe in Jesus or not, we come to a decision-—somewhat based on what we can see and know, and somewhat based on what we can't. We can see and know some things, but there is a lot we can’t and don't. Join us as we hear the story of men who experienced some things they could explain, and others they couldn't, and how that impacted them and their decision of what to do with Jesus.
