Give Thanks 2020
Series: FB LIVEHappy Thanksgiving!
Whatever your plans are this week, I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving and are still able to see loved ones and be together. This year has taken so much from us, but we still have so much to be thankful for. As we discussed this morning, it is so easy for us to become blinded by what has happened that we fail to see all that we do have. My prayer is that this Thanksgiving in 2020 will be one we all remember—not because of the rough year we’ve had—but because of a greater awareness of all we do have to be thankful for. It is often easy for us to be dismissive of this holiday after an easy year. Easy years make it hard for us to realize what we’ve been given. It is the difficult year, ironically, that gives us the opportunity to look around at what we still have and recognize all we’ve taken for granted. This week, as you plan your celebrations, don’t think of what has been taken, but what has been given.
…giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
