A Time For Everything
For Everything, There is a Season
As we enter a new year, many of us are in transition. We are putting the 2021 year behind us and thinking about what we’d like to accomplish in 2022. Due to the last few years, perhaps our spirits are a bit dampened and less optimistic, but generally most people are forward thinking around the new year. We recognize there is a season and a change in life.
Ecclesiastes 3 talks about seasons—“for everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven” (v. 1). What season of life are you in? The school years, young married years, middle aged, or retirement years? We change with each new season, often adjusting our concerns or needs to fit the new period of life we find ourselves in. Each new season brings challenges, but it also brings opportunities. What opportunities do you think God wants you to take advantage of in 2022? What ministry can you participate in this year that you didn’t last year? What would God have you do in this new season?
The thing about seasons is that they only last so long. Take advantage of the season you’re in, while you’re in it. Don’t leave the opportunities God may be placing in front of you.
